At this point why don’t they just put their old games back on the market with remasters? Discourage people from pirating or shopping on EBay.

BDSP felt so halfhearted, you would’ve made more money re-releasing Platinum with minimal changes.

Remastering a game = 10+ million sales
Rereleasing a game = 1-2 million sales
You're forgetting that consumers want the new shiny thing and not the old icky thing

Most people do not want to pay for the roms and TPCi knows this
Remakes make way more money even if it they cost more to produce than simply putting couple of roms on the E-Shop

Yes, BW3 and Z should come out instead. They put the effort into LPA which wasn't necessary at all considering that a new gen was coming soon, I'm sure they'll try to experiment again and maybe one day it will be the time for sequels.

It didn't work with FRLG, because people were too close to actual RGBY to want to buy it again, but it's churlish to say it just started. Nostalgiatards were 50% of remake sales to begin with.

He's right. There's nothing exciting about BW remakes in a gen 9 engine. We can get all the hidden abilities we need so dreamworld isn't needed. We've seen almost every unovan pokemon on the switch games already. BW2 is the last good game without gimmickshit, and hamfisting tera into a BW remake would forever ruin it.

>Sinnoh most definitely does NOT need a remake. Not because it's bad (Gen IV and V are the best actually) but because theres nothing to be gained. The previous 3 remakes were all of Gens that had had important gameplay changes since the originals. DPPt however was the last time the core gameplay was changed in any meaningful capacity or any noticeable amount of older Pokemon got new evolutions. Plus the hardware on the DS was advanced enough Gen IV didn't have to make sacrifices like the older games on the pitiful Gameboy hardware did. All you would be getting is a 3D graphics reskin.

I mean, I haven't bought a Pokemon game in a decade. (I still got some as a gift.) I just wish GameFreak would take a year off and put some more effort into their main games. I know, they didn't make BDSP themselves, but that to me just means that they need to take two years off.

They should keep the og games updated every 10-20 years with new expanded natdex/ability or type retcons/moves for each console.
But generally adding a new plot in a slightly changed setting, time era etc. works.
Pre-war Kanto with Sam/Agatha as the MCs would be rad.
