It's a story about the main character helping an Audino girl improve her
life.At the start of the story, her life is pretty shit. Everybody is either ambivalent towards her or downright malicious, including her divorced mother.
Have you ever seen those images from the 2010s about girls who have extremely terrible lives and get bullied all the time? I think that popopoka's "blind girl" is the most recognized example. Anyway, the Audino girl's story is supposed to be a sort-of riff on that.
The Audino girl becomes more clingy and obsessed with the main character as the story progresses, and then the second half of the plot deals with that. The main character tends towards intense, irrational guilt, so I'm planning to write him using a lot of mental gymnastics to either brush off the Audino girl's weird behaviors early on or believe it's his fault somehow.
Also, the setting is a universe where Pokemon have technologically caught up with humans and have their own society side-by-side with them. Partly to somewhat keep the aesthetic of the images I described earlier, partly because I like the image of an Audino in a japanese schoolgirl outfit, and partly because I've always thought that PMD's idea of a society of Pokemon I've always found to be somewhat sterilized and I wanted to give my own idea on what it would look like.
