The entire reason the different games have different protags is because it doesn't work. The entire point of Pokemon is catching and bonding with your bros, you can't have to protag just dump all his bros between each game and start from scratch.

I think its more likely they'd make an excuse to have you not have access to your Pokemon from Gen 1 instead of doing this in all honesty
