The boost comes from Tera. The mask simply determines which boost you get.

You mean the stat boost
If an Ogerpon is holding a Hearthflame Mask, it changes to its Hearthflame Mask form. It increases the power of its moves by 20%.

Anon, it doesn't grow fucking 4 sizes in-battle until you terastralise it. It's the same as Dynamax/Gigantamax - when typechange gets booted, formchange typechange will be deleted too.
