Which is a stupid inbetween because they got themselves in a catch-22 with the whole line. It HAS to be a ghost type, because otherwise dragapult launching what looks like its children into enemies would be a big no-no. But the design is also way too specific to be a "ghost type".
Most ghost types are floating black-purplish thing that just exist. Or they have something to do with death. Or they're decidueye. (A lot of ghost types sidestep the "floating black-purplish thing" problem by having it posses some wacky new thing like a sword or a pumpkin.)
Dragapult is none of those things and can't be those things, so the only justification they can come up with as to why it's a ghost type is that it's the dead (and similar) version of some OTHER pokemon that mysteriously doesn't exist and they'll never show us.
I need to clarify that I only bought it up because the subject of the thread is "Pokemon only liked by tasteless faggots"
