Overall, ignoring the implicit gen 1 bias, I'm a big fan of 3, 5, and 7. There's stuff in all of them that I like and dislike, but the odd numbered gens just seem to have more depth to them. 6 and 8 and definitely the weakest imo - 6 in particular is both small and overall pretty bad so it's hard to pick out good mons from there.
