Just want to understand something: I have a petilil in PLA at the moment, thinking of transferring to SV. Will that petilil evolve into its unovan form or hisuian form in my SV cart? Thinking about this cause of the met location mark, being in Hisui and all. Same goes for mons like the PLA starters.

What about the PLA starters. Like if I bring an Oshawott from PLA to SV, it will evolve into its unovan form too?

Yes. You only get Hisuian evolutions in Hisui. The exception is if it's already a Hisuian form when you transfer it, so Hisuian Sliggoo will always become Hisuian Goodra no matter what.

Unless a pokemon's prevo has a different form (eg sandshrew, diglett), they evolve into what they would normally evolve into in that game, regardless of where they are from
>petilil in SV from LA evolves into normal lilligant

those anons are right. Simple way to remember is that Pokemon only evolve into their regional form in that region and Pokemon that are already in their reginal form stay regional.
