Jagged Pass as well is one of my favorites. They honestly could've just had you go straight to the bottom and I doubt I would've thought anything of it, but the fact that they included a whole separate area for the journey down the mountain side, with trainers, items, and even a unique encounter you can't find anywhere else (spoink) just feels like they wanted to go above and beyond for these games. Same with the hotsprings in Lavaridge, it may not seem like much, and it isn't, but it serves as such a distinctive landmark, turning what would otherwise be an incredibly simplistic town into a unique and memorable location.
