Yeah, just play one of those MATURE romhacks made for ADULTS and not kids that has ADULT SHIT like SWEARING (Yes, saying FUCK and SHIT in every other dialogue is COOL AS FUCK) and has BLOOD and DEATH (Yes, it's so MATURE that you can tell it's BLOOD even with the limited pixels) and most importantly its POLITICAL (because knowing political references is ADULT SHIT)

I agree Insurgence and Reborn are only rendered more childish by their adolescent pretentions to maturity. That's why I suggested Uranium instead. Helps that Uranium is also way better than those "edgy" counterparts in terms of gameplay.

Hackers don't really get Pokemon as a series do they? You can tell more mature stories and make them still fit within Pokemon as a universe and not also be swearing and violent. There's themes that you could explore that you just can't in a kids' game that they could be trying. But they just retreat to the edgy 14 year old take on Pokemon.

The NERV facility is a glorified pokemon center

The Children are trainers

The Angels are wild pokemon

The Angels hatch from fuckin eggs and its never explained how they "got there" just like the running joke in pokemon

The EVAs disobey their "trainer" depending on their experience and state of mind

and a bunch of other reasons if you think about it

Remember: Neutral > any side. My only gripe is I wished the Fiend odds were a bit lower. 1/256 is not a fun number, especially if you are trying to fill the demon dictionary.

I've been on a romhack binge lately. I actually am not minding Insurgence, because its campy and over the top with the cults and later plot points
I tried Reborn for a little bit, but it went the other way, trying to be grim and serious with gangs and corruption and shit and thats just retarded with pokemon trappings
