Can someone help me, please? I know this is /vp/, but I'm desperate as fuck. I'm only 19 years old and I don't want to be bald, please, can someone help me? I miss my long hair, why this happened to me?

Here are your options

All the men on both sides of my family have full hair, except for my uncle (by marriage, not blood). One side of my family is Anglo-Irish, the other side is German-Ashkenazi, so it doesn't seem to be related to nationality.
My hair started thinning around 20 and I got worried, but it turned out to just be receding to a widow's peak. I have too much hair.

A shaved head might no look as good as having full hair, but looks 100 times better than being half way there. Also grow a beard if you can, they go well together

OP I started losing my hair even earlier than you, and based on where you're at with this photo, you just gotta shave it all off. Even if the fin + minox + a trip to Turkey worked (which it might not, and after many months) you're gonna have to do that for as long as you want to maintain your hair. It's hard to take the plunge but it feels better than staying in denial.

If you really feel bad with the aesthetic afterwards, unironically hit the gym or try growing facial hair.

Another option is to get a glue-on wig for men. They're about 250 dollars for a high-quality one.

The REAL question people ITT thread should be answering is wtf should I do about MY thinning hair, since I actually still have enough of it to potentially salvage.
Ive already been using red-light therapy daily for like 4 months, and have also been taking biotin supplements regularly. My doctor says it’s likely my weed use hindering blood flow to my head (Been smoking near daily for 3 years), which I think is likely a contributor, but I think it might also be my diet failing to supply the necessary components to build strong healthy hair (I can’t cook so I mainly heat up frozen foods and eat other dogshit snacks with no real nutrition), hence my decision to take biotin supplements. It’s also worth noting that my father and his father were both bald, so I definitely have genetic hair loss, but both kept their hair well into their 50s so I think something I’m doing is likely accelerating it quite a bit (I’m only 20). Aside from the obvious lifestyle changes I already implied I should make, what would you suggest?

My hair got thinner in my early 20s and when the light hit my head just right you could see my scalp. I tried hiding it by styling my hair a certain way and it worked for the longst time, but I always paniced that someone might be able to see it. When all the barbers were closed due to covid restrictions I couldn't get a proper haircut which made my head look weird, so I started buzzing off my hair with my beard trimmer. I leave like half a millimeter of stubble but that's about it. It's a liberting feeling not having to worry about your hair.

If that's not an option for you, try one of those glue-on toupets/pieces. Getting a custom one made probably costs a pretty penny, but it'll last you for a while.

Ok a few things anon.
1.Do you ever wash or remove your hat/headphones?
2. What's your family hairline looking from your mothers side.
3. have you washed your hair with shampoo and conditioner daily?

Here's what i'd say you have for options.
1. shave it off and hit the gym
2. Shave it off and grow a beard
3. Implants and hope it doesnt thing again in a few years.

Most women don't care if your bald. As long as you wear it well. Shave your head, walk with your back straight and chin high.
Trust me I went bald about the same age, never looked back after shaving it off.

I also had long hair, that was about to my mid back noticed a really bad thinning spot on the back so I thought, eh, fuck it.

I take Minox and Finas for thinning and I have literally no issues. They're extremely tiny pills. It's the closest thing to a cure right now until CRISPR is done.

For wigs and toupees I agree, but if the hair is naturally grown from one’s head then it’s fair game. I’d never liken acne treatment to excessive make up for example, one is meant to cause a natural reaction to heal an unsightly blemish, the other is literally Christmas ornaments.
