Nah, i don't really patternfag. tThe only thing i was relatively sure of with the starters this Gen was that Sprigatito was gonna stand up BECAUSE people were so fucking adamant and hopeful it wasn't going, so OF COURSE GameFreak would do it.

Comes down to if we get a snake or ox, you can do the usual basilisk or bull thing.
It's already fun enough messing with people on the cyndaquil being a rat or fennekin being a dog.

I am hoping we get a sheep or horse so we can argue over if the crocodile is a snake or ox for a few years.

Argument I always make is Fox is a canidae which is a type of domestic dog.

Cyndaquil, only argument I got is it's firemouse and shows up whenever they do year of the rat stuff. I don't even think it's a rat, but I think it's close enough to count. The zodiac shit probably wasn't even on the cards till gen 3+
