I usually like seeing fakemon but anytime someone tries to design starters it comes out as the most creatively bankrupt possible thing. It reflects the actual game, really

I think its the fact that there is an expectation for them to be marketabley cute/cool and be very on the nose about their typing. They're by far my least favorite kind of fakemon to design.
