>>54627840The gym leaders and E4 members are pretty run-of-the-mill desu. The only one that sticks out to me is the 5th gym leader who specializes in Fighting types. He’s mentally retarded from taking too many blows to the head, and he’s a sore loser. After you beat him, he sends you off to a remote island to complete some sort of challenge, and even then his daughter has to convince him to fork over the gym badge.
The final E4 member specializes in Dragon types, and he’s the cousin of the champion. He’s fed up with living in his cousin’s shadow. He has a team full of dragons, but the strongest one of them all is reserved for the champion’s team. The psuedo-legendary of this region is a dragon based on jet planes. Seeing as how North Carolina is where the first plane was invented, I thought this was fitting. He’s the champion’s ace. The champion himself is pretty much just a ripoff of Lance.
