I really don't like pokemon that are designed type-first. It's a bit hard to classify this because you have to guess HOW a pokemon was designed, but there's some that you can just TELL.
Like for example, whenever a recent pokemon is "the first of its type combination", it was designed type first. The design of Toxcicitry didn't start with any sort of idea, it started with "what would a poison/electric type look like" and then they go with the first thing that comes to mind. But pokemon that aren't the only ones with a type combo are made like this. Like bramblin. Remember bramblin?
It's STUPID. The pokemon made like this usually have no personality past the very obvious "huh, yeah" of their surface level design. Like scovillain, or galarian darmanitan, or bewear, or that jellyfish thing.
Some of them are good, like I think Pangoro and Drampa are okay, but there's much more garbage than good designs that come out of this.
