From a purely design standpoint I've always preferred original Decidueye but honestly I've started to really warm up to Hisuian Decideueye recently. The autumn colored feathers and samurai ronin hat really look cool.

no they aren't. the gen 5 mons look very distinct from the older mons with a handful of debatable exceptions like alolamola. all of them have more effort put into designs than regional variants which for the most part are practically palette swaps and sometimes one body part gets a mjaor change (decidueye's hat)
