isnt it an option to just not evolve the pokemon
since most cross gen evolutions usually require to learn a move or use an item so its not like you would be constantly pressing B

Wyrdeer is a cross-gen evolution.
Mr. Rime, Cursola, Obstagoon, etc. are regional evolutions.

Except half of cross-gens are just better. Yanmega, Sylveon, Annihilape, I could go on. Yeah there are some clunkers, but it's worth the risk.

I like pokémon. If that means fixing underwhelming pokémon by giving them an evolution and making them worthwhile to use in-game so be it. Sorry Game Freak continuing to curate their world annoys you to this extent.

If you're using it in singles you're missing the point, Farigiraf is a trick room setter that disables all priority moves. In other words, once TR is on the field there's no way to take speed control off your hands.
