Did people really struggle with edgy ursaluna? Granted I hover around 1400 but most people take teams from high rated players. Special wall or physical attackers do decently against it and blood moon having a 1 turn cooldown makes it pretty manageable.

It's weird how Kingambit hasn't been banned. He basically forces 50/50s just by existing a lot of the time. Does he tera, does he not? Does he Sucker, does he not? Does he switch out, does he not? I never quite understood why Smogon ban things with such weird criteria of when it's at it's strongest instead of an average of play perceptions.

Like sure, Ursaluna is dangerous if you can Terra it, it has gotten a calm mind and you lack a Sp.def wall. But isn't that basically every single Quiver Dance pokemon ever?

Ttar will not be OU when Excadrill comes back. There's way too much ground type competition, and even a few of them (Tusk, Ting-Lu, Gliscor) make Drill its bitch. Since a lot of other Rapid Spin mons got Ice Spinner this gen, Drill might too. That's the only chance it has at relevance.

If Excadrill gets Ice Spinner, it'll be OU again for sure. Ground/Ice is one of the most busted STAB combinations in the game. Tera Ice after an SD boost and Excadrill could clean 4 - 5 Pokemon.

As of now, there are 10 Pokemon introduced in Gen 9 that have been banned from Ubers. Annihilape, Baxcalibur, Ching-Pao, Chi-Yu, Espartha, Flutter Mane, Iron Bundle, Ogerpon-HF, Palafin, Ursaluna-BM.
This isn't counting the cover legendaries because those are meant to be broken by default, any previously balanced pokemon that became broken this gen due to Tera like Volcarona, or the two Pokemon that had previously been banned that got unbanned once their broken move was nuked instead (Houndstone and Cyclizar).

This is the most broken generation of Pokemon ever by a long shot.

Yup, most of these bans are specifically because those Pokemon are made too powerful through Tera, but they insist on avoiding the flack they got from banning Dynamax by keeping Tera around while banning anything that could dare prove the mechanic as a whole needs to go.

I feel the same way for Espathra, tera played a big role on it as well. Teraing into a bulky type allowed those Pokémon to set up bulk-up/calm mind very easily, and afterwards it's incredibly hard to stop them once they get the ball rolling. Without tera I don't think they'd be anywhere near as threatening, even Espathra. One SE Sucker Punch straight into its beak and it's fucking dead

Anon, it's pretty obvious Tera was what pushed WraithApe otherwise RageApe would be used rather than be a NU meme. It has a strong stab combo yes and RageFist is dumb but Ghost/Fighting is a shitty defensive type, it's not fast enough to abuse it's stab combo or strong enough to just click hits with a Choice Item, It needs setup but anything with good SpA and not weak to its stabs can kill it before it becomes troublesome but thanks to Tera this goes out the windown since it can dance around it's weakness and clean games from there unless you have a Dondozo and even there this goes out the windown if the ape has taunt and it Tera to a resist, that's why Water was one of the most used Teras by it. Tera is the issue not Rage Fist and I hate the Chinese for ruining the ban of Tera on Natdex.

Lmao, it can touch Dark and steel types anon, if your team had a Gambit, Ting-Lu, Corviknight, Dhengo and hell even stuff like Tinkaton and TTar, you're safe that's why Tera broke it because now rather than having middling coverage and shitty power it could Tera to resist Dark priority/attacks and getting a better type with coverage to get around those pokemons while at it. Plenty of tournaments allowed such Pokemon and there will definitely be more AG tournaments at the end of this gen.
Even when there are banned Pokemon it's always a flat ban that has little to do with viability and usage.

I'm not aware of any tournament that allows you to bring an AG threat to an OU fight.

Air Slash is used in tournaments when you don't trust your luck enough to land Hurricanes. You're deliberately choosing the weaker option because you want to be safe. You should be rewarded with perfect accuracy for that. Flamethrower, Psychic, etc don't have a miss chance.

Rotom-W has been UU for years, Garchomp and Landorus failed to stay in OU because it's already full of strong ground types that check other prevalent threats, Chansey and Blissey are shit because they lost toxic, Darkrai is being suspected because the only reason to use it was nerfed and Tyranitar dropped because sand has less tools than the others weathers.
Powercreep is real, but your examples have nothing to do with it.

It'd be used just to stop Dragapult spam. Ghost is really strong right now because there is no way to punish them for spamming strong as fuck moves since Normal basically doesn't exist in OU and there is no way to trap them.

Garchomp is mainly a defensive rocky helmet mon that sets rocks and chips at the enemy, its main competitor is Gliscor who was introduced in the same gen. Tusk etc obviously decreased its usage but it was Gliscor's itroduction that made it UU.

Honestly I didn't expect to get any responses. I don't think it's ultra broken, it's just kind of annoying if my opponent decides to commit to AV -> setup sweeper (Manaphy is the toughest). It's just bulky enough to be able to get out AV pretty much every time.
