For XY alone i would probably say Camphrier (By virtue of being where i hatched Egg), Cyllage (Because i remember it being a bit of a mess) and Anistar are what i think of first rather then Lumiose, even when Lumiose is supposed to be what should pop up first.
Like i said, i think Lumiose is just a bit too big for its own good in terms of being memorable as a whole unit for me, especially if you just use taxis to the points of interest so you never get a sense of how it is all put together. Hell you could probably argue that Lumiose is basically "Mr.Coronet as a Town" with how it is laid out and with all the roadblocks and how you keep looping back into it, now if that is a good or bad thing is another question people can only answer themselves since it is subjective.
