Never, they would steal the spotlight from the CHARIZARD’s Tera forms

When their debut games get a remake. No way Game Freak would remake XY without mega CHARIZARDs X and Y

do you need a Mega Bracelet or whatever its called to Mega Evolve Rayquaza? If not I see no reason for it not to be back. I know Rayquaza doesn't need a Mega Stone tho

I just double-checked and every mega evolution plays the mega bracelet animation except for rayquaza.

If I recall correctly, Primal Groudon and Kyogre technically don’t count as megas either, but their forms obviously haven’t come back.

I don’t think we’re getting them back. Roaring Moon, Iron Valiant, and Dipplin suggest to me that they’re gradually gonna reintroduce the gimmick forms from previous gens back as normal Pokemon. Hopefully they’ll do it as normal evos as well for mons like Mawile and Banette.
