>>54642226>abilitiesfine for multiplayer but shit for singleplayer experience. contact abilities like poison point and static are far too endemic throughout the game, intimidate shows up a decent amount. you're basically pushed to either spend all your cash on stat heals or stop bothering to run physical attacks. kanto's pokedex and pokemon availability wasnt made with abilities in mind and shoving them into the game makes for a very shitty singleplayer campaign
>bloated movepoolsboring, unfocused. egg moves change from 90% inconsequential, fun gimmicks (water gun phanpy) and 10% consequential (rock slide on most pokemon that could get it as an egg move) to now most of your pokemon dont have the right movepool unless you bred them
>the RS-on EV/IV system with natures and other rngautistic. not fun.
>graphicsweird color palette that feels immediately dated. the choice to fill kanto up with trees everywhere completely changes the feel of the region. pewter city in particular shifts from a city in a mountainous region to just another fuckin city with a forest around it
