I'm slowly replaying Pokemon X to see if it was as good as 10 y/o me thought it was (so far? yea it's pretty good. the kanto pandering is blatant AF though.)

I originally played Y but my friend sent me his X ROM after I sent him my Y one. Here's my team at the moment. How we feelin about it, lads?

Based on your levels, you're still at the early game. From my experience, the games drop off after the second Gym due to poor pacing.
Curious to see if your mind will change as you progress.
Inkay is one of my Gen 6 favorites, the rest of the team looks fine too.

I'm replaying it as well to get some 10th anniversay marked Xerneas and Yveltal.
The sharp low poly 3D is so nice to this game map and I still don't know how the fuck Gen 7 ruined that.

Same boat, was half way through my bachelor's and booked it from class to gamestop for the midnight launch. Had a group project to focus on so I didn't have time to play until a couple days later and I caught a bad flu so I wasn't feeling up to it for a bit longer, but when I did get to play I couldn't put it down and gave myself a headache from staring at the screens for 6 hours straight while still sick. I just really loved how much more you could do compared to previous generations - pet your pokemon, feed them by hand, play little games with them, dress up your character, actively EV train stats with super training, pss made battling and trading quick and easy, the handful of ridable pokemon were a nice touch, roller skates for diagonal movement and tricks. Basically it's the closest the games ever felt to actually living in the pokemon world.

I had to ask my whole family for money to get a 3DS as birthday gift, then I got Pokémon X on Christmas that year pretty close to release, since I didn't want to miss out on the Mega Blaziken

I got a gf and a baby, so no bad.
Unfortunately my degree was not as valued as my professors led me to believe, even in a major city. Not even a single interview after 3 years of applying. I have a stable job but it barely pays the bills.

I am pretty happy all things considered

I ended up with a shit degree and worked retail until I landed a huge tech job. Hang it there, not because it gets better, but because there's no real alternative until society changes.
