Why are there so many people that pronounce it 'Gliss-Core' when it couldn't be any more obvious that it's name is just a mash-up of 'glide' and 'scorpion'? Are they retarded?

The "wrong" pronunciation is the official one, the english dubs just follow the japanese pronunciation.

Translators fucked up when localizing the name. They could've chosen a more intuitive spelling. It's just like how Arceus logically should be pronounced with a soft c but it's canonically supposed to be hard.
