>>54654827The school theme has always existed, they made it bigger with Alola and now they decided to make it central in the regions theme. Its just a horrible choice but its a thing that always was there.
If anything it does underline to the max how theyre dumbing down the series so much more in every gen, since the school at first was only a 1 minute tutorial on statuses.
School is a super redundant and easy theme to put there when you dont know what to do, because all kids do is go to school and so its also very relatable to the lives of modern NPCs. The adult alternative would be having jobs kek, which is mystery dungeons theme. Hell, though, since a lot of teens go to university i can see why they chose this shiet
Btw I still havent attended a single class in this game and I do appreciate that its not a must at all to do anything else. I already saw the dialogues before playing tho so maybe its a reason I didnt have any interest in it
