>>54653851i hate how people misinterpret his character. everyone sees a guy being snarky and kinda mean so they think he's an asshole, because the slightest bit of adversity causes them to wither away like a burned flower. he's not an asshole, he's just being a proper rival in his own dickheaded way. he just gives you the fame checker and makes a joke at your expense, brags about how many pokemon he's caught but also tells you his methods to give you a chance to keep up, throws off the coolest one liner about killing your pokemon when you fight at lavender tower (which would be way cooler if he had any difficult fights other than ss anne and champion). blue's just about the memes. hes not a heartless asshole. its just that simple. and its this depth to me that makes him the quintessential rival
