Gen5 is already good and has infinite TMs and a better level curve. We actually need a gen2 remake. Johto is absolutely fucked which is why streamers hate replays.
Some people talked about a LetsGo but at this point Johto is one of the most aged regions and less shilled than Kanto. It could do with a proper full blown remake with the same level of effort as HGSS again. What do we need to fix it?

Allow the player to just call any trainer for a rematch and sort by location. Instead of just a handful of shitty trainers to rematch.

I get that its a nod to RBY to have level 2 Pidgeys and shit but the whole region is fucking trash land. Maybe there could be a lure item/radio station/chaining mechanic that makes stronger mons appear in the route after a while.
