It was kino. We just ended up in the wrong branch reality where they didn't finish the game but launched it anyway, then continued the trend after it worked.

No it's not, they obviously didn't playtest it enough since the EXP Share and Amie bonuses broke the game balance fundamentally.

The thing I desire most in life is a Legends game for this, because the story is dogshit, and so are the characters, worst part of the game for sure, but I still love Kalos, a Legends game could easily fix this

It was. It just assumes anyone with > 50 IQ is going to focus more on playing with their friends than obsessing over the toddler campaign that's effectively just a tutorial.

It sounds like the problem is in plain sight to you but you're just making excuses for what they settled with in pushing the game out. Maybe I should remind you as well that just the gen prior bothered with difficulty variation, to throw out the weak argument that they don't consider difficulty.

You mean the difficulty variation not only is virtually impossible to use without hacking, but also doesn't actually work and makes the game easier?

How? The player has far more options, the game isn't balanced around Fairy types being a thing, and there's more QoL.

And it’s still harder simply because the AI is better and the NPCs have sets that are actually good. Just goes to show how braindead the original games already were.

Yeah the games get shittier and shittier as the series progresses you know? Gen 1 was peak and every gen after is slightly worse until switch where each gen is significantly worse than the last. Basically, an earlier gen is always going to be better than the gen that came after, as they only get worse and worse with each new game.

Such a gotcha. No one even thought stat boosts was what happened. Rather, there are better teams and moveseit everywhere, along with more held items and better AI. Regardless, the only way to get it becomes easier and challenge mode is if you play like a schizoid.
