When it's all said and done, the Unova and Alola games will be remembered as the best games, with the best mechanics, and the most content.
Gen1 is genwun lol
Gen 3 is almost as good, but lacks some modern QoL
Gens 2 and 4 are full of objective flaws that nostalgiafags don't want to admit. Shit distribution of new mons, shit pacing, shit stores, shit regions.
Gen 6 is nearly there, but desperately needed its third version and ORAS is quite good but way too easy. It it had kept Emerald's gyms and frontier, it would be the best game in the series.
Won't even mention the Switch games. They're all terrible. LA was something, but still felt like a tech demo. Hopefully a Legends Kyreum will truly let the mechanics of it shine.
