Why are these games so overrated on the internet?

Is this a case of the children who grew up with it now spreading their ideas online?

Zoomers can’t actually defend these games when challenged and fair criticism is presented, so they create a boogeyman of some shadowy discord that doesn’t exist but controls everything.
