and I believe the improvements Platinum makes put it far above Diamond and Pearl in terms of replayability. Its such an upgrade in available monsters and overworld details. Why go back?
and the OP image is disingenuous. BW era tried to set itslf apart from previous generations and was attacked for it. To say it started the nostalgia trend and rehashed designs is unfair. Gen 6 went overboard with it.
