It's evident that this hack has its own unique niche when looking right here on these threads, because whenever someone asks what other options for the same type of experience are out there, people will list hacks that go way beyond gen 2 and introduce mechanics and even Pokemon from later gens, like Polished Crystal which REPEATEDLY gets cited as an alternative to Legacy Crystal, by people who I assume are not aware of what one or both of these hacks are actually trying to achieve.
251 Crystal got some posts, but that doesn't do rebalancing, it does less than Legacy, so once again not the same niche. Sour Crystal got mentioned, and that one is so far the closest, but again seems to be less focused on the rebalancing front as well as it bases its changes on future Pokemon games instead of working from a vaccuum where only gen 1 and 2 exist, like Legacy does.
I could go on, but I won't, the point is that there is value in what this hack is doing and you getting mad about e-celebs is a fart in the wind.
