Good lord, I really wish remakes were better with more bonus content, new games are so empty that I find it hard to replay them. Also please announce new games already, I need something new to play

ideally we wouldn't need remakes in general, but Pokémon needs to be a cashgrab franchise

remakes are a plague caused by the lack of retrocompatibility and virtual console

I completely 100% agree with you, but...
The pokemon world as a setting and general atmosphere and what not have gone so far off the rails to me that revisiting the past is really the only chance we'll get at experiencing that original spark of pokemon. Rather than the current world of giant top heavy cartoon fantasy architecture, adult supervised adventures, and rotom smartphones.

This. Honestly though, I kind of wish they were released after Sun & Moon just so we could add Z-moves to the mix. Mega Evolutions, Z-moves, a full set of Pokémon up to gen 8, and Battle Frontier opponents that make use of all of them to challenge you.

Which fangames have you played, anon? Unbound kind of falls apart towards the last couple of gyms, but is fun for a good while, and Realidea System is very solid despite suffering from a jank translation. If you can handle fakemon, Uranium and Xenoverse are decent options.
