Excluding the trade-evos, what's one of the first Pokemon you remember having to trade someone for? I believe it was picrel for me in HG

Lunatone was the holy grail for me and my buddies because fucking nobody had sapphire, we all had ruby and emerald.
Then some weird stinky kid a couple years younger shows up with sapphire so we trade and I clone an army of lunatone on emerald to distribute to my pals.

Which on that note, it isn't the first, but the first wondertrade I can actually remember was a japanese gengar (not haunter). I assume it was from someone throwing their team into the void after they finished the game or something since it was very high level and I couldn't use it for most of the game as a result.

I honestly don't remember which Pokemon were version exclusive between Red and Blue, but I had Red and my brother had Blue, so we had to swap a few of them. We also both did the trick of starting over twice after trading away your starter, then getting them both back and being able to use all three at once.
