What's really weird is that (from what I've seen) 4chan is more filled with casualfags bitching about comp than anywhere else. Stereotypical 4chan users and stereotypical sweaty compfags are pretty similar, so you'd think there'd be a lot more overlap. I think the reason 4chan hates compfags is a combination of:
A. 4chan users often don't actually play the games they get into flamewars over
2. 4chan users are instinctively contrarian, and eSports have been popular in recent years
