I'm trying to alternate between Realidea and Xenoverse concurrently
I'm liking Realidea a lot more in terms of plot and just general engagement with the characters.
I'm pretty eh about Xenoverse's plot thus far and the overworld sprites for characters feel like they're from a different, less good game. I do like the fakemon I've seen so far though.

I may make things even more difficult on myself and throw a third game into the rotation, maybe Infinity or Unbound.

There is that one dating sim called Pokémon Academy or some shit but its a fucking VN without any RPG elements. I guess it's cause these hacks/fangames are usually don't care about the story or if they do care about the story it's probably made by queers who strawman the fuck out of the people interested in shipping the MC with somebody without resulting to fanfiction of fanfiction.

I actually played that (the new version that got picked up by some guy after the old crew dropped it a couple years ago) a few months back
Wasn't half bad, I actually like the rewrite they did (MC is substantially less of a pussy and Silver of all characters gets a bunch of screen time and is a cool dude), but its one of those projects I fear will never see 100% completion

you must have incredibly low standards if xenoverse is being used as a standard
no speedup, annoying to navigate maps, the fucking points of no return that brick your save if you’re not high enough level (with no ingame indication of what level you’ll need to be to reliably get to the next actually safe save point), the lack of repeatable trainers (or other reliable EXP sources) to grind against if you’re stuck and need to level up your party or bring new catches up to a level that isn’t abysmally low compared to the local trainers, the paid pokecenters/healing inside dungeons if you don’t want to spend minutes walking through obnoxious to navigate to a pokemon center, the long walls of text that take minutes without external programs to speedhack (especially ones placed before fights), EVERYTHING ABOUT THE STARTERS, the complete inability to use debug mode or rpg maker to fix any of those problems because the devs are too scared of people injecting mons to use on their dead servers for ingame online “content”, etc.

I'm also not sure if its reoccuring issue, but when I'm doing trainer battles theres a long pause (like 10 seconds) between the transition from the overworld to the battle that just sits on a black screen. No speedup is annoying too.

Postgame seems pretty barebones, outside of a couple of extra quests and a lot of legendaries to catch, so I think I'm done, unless more interesting shit is hidden.
Overall, it was pretty fun
the climax before the league was pretty good
I think what got on my nerves the most was the 5 or so generic victory messages 90% of enemies played after losing.

let's just say that the starters have their stats minmaxed but not in any useful way when you consider their abilities
also, you have absolutely no way of fixing your starter's stats if it's generated with a detrimental nature and shit IVs, because shit like mints, bottlecaps, or just hardcoding legendaries to have a minimum IV floor so they're not gimped with bad stats are alien concepts to the italians
unless you start ALL THE WAY OVER and make a new save in hopes of better luck

you're also not allowed to breed it to fix those issues, or use the forbidden techniques of rpg maker/debug mode to fix that shit, or any of the game's other glaring problems, for that matter.

oh and did I say legendary because your starter is a plot important legendary and you CANNOT take it out of your party for story shit, no matter how much of a wasted team slot it is when you're not building teams around the limitation of having it take up a team slot

The entire point of Pokemon is giving the player freedom to build their own party and using the Pokemon they enjoy using.
