Finally went ahead and got Ryujinx up to play this, it's a fucking slog with all the dialogue like all nu-pokemon but the mechanics are pretty fun imo. Hope they do something like it again.

Probably gonna have to force myself to play the other switch games after I finish it, what am I in for with those

Arceus's true name is Shin Oû(True king/God King)> Shinno > Sinnoh , yeah they named the region after it later.
Arceus is only 1/1000 of Shin Oû who is basically Allah

The only thing that supports that is a pokedex entry that says it was banished for being violent. If Giratina is that spiteful then surely with power equal to Dialga and Palkia it would be able to destroy the Distortion World which would wipe out the normal one.

SwSh is more of the same. Dexcut is bad, but otherwise if you could tolerate XY they won't be too different. BDSP are DP. SV are decent, flawed but the open world gives it some variety.

Volo tells you this right before his betrayal. The Platinum dex entry is canon.
