I don't really like Poketubers, but this series is pretty entertaining. The point isn't to see IF it can be done (unless it's an absolutely unusable shitmon), but how fast it can be done, with the guy timing himself and running ranking lists to see which mons are the fastest. They're a cool way to show off exactly what each and every Pokemon was capable of and how viable it could be.

NTA but it's more like this
>watching/listening to something while cleaning/working/doing your hobby etc.
>not paying attention to what's on YouTube
>it autoplays into something tangentially related because algorithm
>algorithm just changes recommended to videos by that creator
>you realise and change it back to something else
>algorithm goes back to the same video after and does it again
I can't tell you how many times I've had it just playing some music and then it reccomends one of those shitty Sonic challenge videos.

Most people listen to his videos as background noise or a podcast while doing something else. The gameplay isn't all that impressive or interesting when he doesn't route anything in advance and everyone knows what the badge boost glitch is by now. Werster's Pokemon+ HGSS speedruns are far better content.

Caterpie, Metapod and Magikarp can't solo the game because they are completely incapable of hitting ghost in Gen 1

I'm almost tempted to guess that at some point in development Onix was supposed to be a late game viable mon, but then they gave it to Brock and nerfed the hell out of it.

Even if Onix had Steelix's stats, it's still fairly easy to defeat with Bulbasaur and Squirtle. Charmander requires a bit of grinding, but if Nidoran had Double Kick at Lv12 like it does in Yellow, that plus Butterfree's Confusion would make it much more doable.

His content isn't bad. You can tell that he experiments different things with his videos and he isn't afraid of adapting and altering the formula in small ways. He's also just autistic enough to try difficult challenges without items but not enough to cripple himself further with shit like playing in real time or resetting when he gets too lucky.
