The problem with Dexit was that Pokemon's sole excuse for bad games for ~6 years at that point was the massive workload behind keeping every single monster usable in every game. If they cycled mons out and the quality of the games increased because of it, people wouldn't be as upset. "No post-game, fuck you" has no reasonable excuse.
