- Volo is the secret main antagonist of Pokemon Legends: Arceus and is the penultimate boss battle in the game
- Volo is encountered numerous times throughout the game serving as a at times helpful guide for the player as they travel across Hisui. The post game story has you collect the remaining Plates with Volo and Cogita in a means for Volo to take them from you at the end of the post game story.
- Volo is responsible for the opening of the Space-Time Rift that loomed over Hisui and drove the world into relative chaos. He was able to do this by finding Giratina, and feeding him the power to tear open a rift in Space and Time. It is believed that the player is sent to the distant past in order to stop the Space-Time Rift from destroying Hisui, and potentially the entire world.
- His main goal within Pokemon Legends Arceus is to find a way to encounter the creator diety Pokemon, Arceus, and use his power to create a new, better world. What he means by "better world" remains a mystery
- He was seemingly designed by Megumi Mizutani, I think, don't quote me on that. At the very least I believe his concept art was drawn by her.
- According to his concept art, he is revealed to be 190cm or about 6 feet 3 inches tall
- He was first revealed in a trailer for Pokemon Legends: Arceus titled "New Faces in the Hisui Region" on December 15th, 2021, alongside other major characters such as Adaman and Irida
- He bares a striking resemblance to Cynthia, the Champion and final boss of Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, Platnium, Brilliant Diamond, and Shing Pearl. He also looks very similar to Cogita, another character from Pokemon Legends Arceus
- His name is Latin for will, wish, want, or intend.
- His battle theme was composed by Go Ichinose and Arranged by Hitomi Sato.
