>>54713513First of all, you can get a Mew without hacking by exploiting glitches, so no need to hack the game. As a side note, you can use the same glitch to spawn any Pokemon you like (including version exclusives) since it's based on the Special stat of the last Pokemon you battled. There's a graphic you can look up if you want to see what trainers you have to battle to get a specific Pokemon, or you can just use fight a wild ditto and get it to transform into one of your own Pokemon with a specific Special stat.
Secondly, you obviously can't transfer from the original gen 1-2 games to the latest games, so the only option would be via the 3DS Virtual Console version. And while that has Bank compatibility, Mew is explicitly blocked from being transfered unless it has the specific trainer name and ID from the event (GF/22796). Although there are glitches that allow you to change that too. If you were just looking to trade between other gen 1-2 games then of course there's nothing stopping you.
