People often say "the games are easy, you can beat them with any Pokemon no matter how bad", but they forget that you're allowed to have a team of six, and if one of them is really bad there's no incentive to use it because the other teammates just do the job better.
After a while Farfetch'd just didn't pull its weight, it couldn't take any hit, it couldn't ko anything and was often outsped.
