The ashnime wouldve been great if Shudo was let to do anything. Still i wouldnt put the mewtwo episode of this at the level of shudo's mewtwo movie.
Though it definitely was much better overall. Gamefreak is still the best at making pokemon, so if they just fucking follow the story of the games they cant go wrong. And they can expand on it since its an anime the way generations, evolutions etc do.
For example Id watch a full anime of this or generations etc with delight. But i cant get myself to watch even the new anime. Way too boring
