Where's the best place to farm Heart Scales in XY? I need a bunch of smashable rocks that are very close to an exit. In HGSS I used the ones outside of the photographer's house in Cianwood.

Ambrette Town, beach area. Just leave right to the route and come back to respawn then.

Alternatively, just fish up Luvdisc with the old rod and have a thief user.

Get a Pokemon with compound eyes and a Pokemon with thief. Then you can easily chain Luvdisc with Heart Scales.

I figured it'd be faster to mindlessly press A with the game at 2x speed than it would to have to navigate through menus and do the fishing minigame, but the drop rate seems lower and I couldn't find a good cluster of rocks, so I ended up just catching a box full of them.

For me, I used a Trevenant with Frisk and Thief by the rocks on the route just east of [Mega Evo town]. The area where you get Lapras and hijack the goat farm.
