>What would be your Pokémon trainer origin story?My dad got me a pet Porygon while I was pretty young after he saw I liked playing with the Torchics my cousins raised. I became very interested in learning about pokemon so my cousins gave me one of their Torchics on my 10th birthday and I started training to challenge gyms in the near future.
My motivation is that pokemon are great. Knowing me, I would've stomped my first few gyms before reaching a roadblock I refuse to ask help for, then get distracted by contests and stomp my first few contests before finding another roadblock, then go into redefining the regional meta of the pokeathlon before quitting, then try to get back into the groove of challenging gyms only to become a sort of forest hermit that writes poems and trains with his pokemon to challenge trainers for money or whatever.
