What causes shills to blindly defend the games no matter what? To see no flaws. To consume all slop. Will they still defend the games when the elite 4 is cut for DLC next game? Why do they buy it anyway?

Please for the love of god, use the meaningful large issues to complain like the performance, and not the tiny non-issues like a fucking faded debug menu being visible in a submenu if you squint. The latter doesn't strengthen your point, it weakens it by undermining it and making it seem like you're petty.

Every game ever has small mistakes. Complain about the BIG ones that matter. Which these games have a LOT OF.

The other bloke ws right - utter headcanon. And if you are who I suspect, it's to handle the fact they didn't make an ORAS-clone remake of DP, but instead gave it the respect it deserved, while ensuring the blow-ins and oldfags could grasp what happened by porting the original (whose sales and clout it utterly killed by releasing 3 months after it).

I havent bought a Pokemon game since X/Y. 5 almost killed the franchise for me, but gen 6 came back strong. Sun and moon leaned even more into babification of the game and more gen 5 tier shit designs. I saw the shit with dexit and the terribly early access release of swsh and the stupid bike digimon on the cover of scarvi that I just keep saving myself from wasting time. I feel bad for the crack addicted pokefans who keep eating slop made for 6 year olds.

As long as it has the pokemon logo on it, they will buy it. Mark my words, Gen 10 will have even less content and will be even shorter. I wouldn't 't be surprise if the powercreep is even worse than it is now. It will still sell regardless. The games are nothing but pokeslop with zero quality.

It is when you realize it's pokemon + the current switch owernship is sitting at 110-120 mill. By comparison botw sold 30mil when there were only 55 million switches out there, sword/shield sold 25million a little later.

Does it matter? Gamefreak doesn't fix their games post lunch anyway, there is still a mouse cursor in sword/shield intro and credits.

Umm nooo it didn't. As I mentioned in the post at the time, there were only around 50 million switches in circulation, so botw captured about 60% of the market.

For a pokecrap game to do that good, it would need to sell 70-80 million copies today.

Pokémon always has insane aftersales. It also hasn't got its rehash fully released (for comparison, SS started off at 16m by end Dec '19 and its DLC launched fully Nov. 2020 and it had only sold 20m by end of December 2020. SV started off with 20m by end Dec. '22 and currently sits as 22.6m or something after 3 months, before DLC launch bump). /vp/ is literally the only hole on the internet that thinks Pokémon's performance is poor, because it has a few bugs and it's on a system that sold 125m in 6 years instead of one delegated to "kid-only" territory by adults.
