>>54740792My format doesn't have a name yet (I'd like suggestions) but:
1. Expanded Cards
2. No Rule Box Cards
3. Inverse Prize Cards
Inverse prize cards means that whenever a player would draw a prize card, instead their opponent draws the prize card. That way, the prize cards are a catch-up mechanic instead of a snowball mechanic. A player loses when they draw their last prize card. Any card that counts prize cards instead count's the opposite player's prize cards (so N, Ultra Beasts, etc still work as intended) and any card that refers to manipulating or looking at prize cards still work as written (so Husian Heavy Ball, Peonia, Town Map, etc still work).
With Expanded Cards and no singleton limitation, decks are very efficient and gameplay is very skill based. With the momentum reversal of inverse prize cards, games are closer and often come down to the last prize. Finally, with no Rule-Box Cards, power creep is much slower and more palatable (at least I think so).
Negatives: You can't play this on any rule-enforcing simulators because of inverse prize cards.
