>>54739959The only way to do it is to get a physical copy without the update and then play the game with the Switch in plane mode until you get it, since otherwise it'll just trigger the update.
Also, you have to not have played the game before on the Switch, else it'll know the game is not on the last version.
Only event that can be accessed legally these days is the Arceus one, and it requieres you to play Legends Arceus and complete the Pokedex.
