millennial here who quit after gen 3 as a kid, so my opinion on all gens after is completely free of nostalgia as I played them all as an adult. prepare for objectivity
sun/moon was the most unplayable pokemon game for me due to the amazon jungle of cutscenes I had to spam the A button for hours
