Gen V already had a number of much better Fire-types, and Gen IV gave us a way better fire monkey. Simisear was doomed from the start.

I picked Oshawott, and was given Pansear
It only had Incinerate, and ok Special Attack
It was meant to give Water players an advantage over Grass, but it wasn’t strong enough to do that…
I eventually replaced it Darm and Litwick instead
