what if type weakness and resistances for dual types was formulated a bit differently to have a sort of "in-between" state instead of being purely multiplicative?

for example:
double SE = 3x
SE = 2x
E + SE = 1.5x
E or double E = 1x
E + NVE = 2/3x
NVE = 1/2x
double NVE = 1/3x

you'd trade off damage guesstimation being slightly more complicated, but you'd make double SE weaknesses a bit less horrificly bad to have, and give some monotypes the potential for a defensive niche they might not have had before with their resists not being diluted
