Also, the only slightly decent design choice goes with an AI that is still way too retarded, and goes in comparison to the real sinnoh comeback and the iconic battle that Volo instantly represented. Volo's battle alone still mogs any battle in PTSD

BDSP is great. You could say it's not very ambitious because it keeps a lot of stuff from Platinum (that alone makes it good) but it mostly expands upon the good stuff. If it's not broke don't fix it :)

The underground isn’t better, it serves a different function and it doesn’t even do it right, they lazily scale the wild mons to your level so that you end up with level 80 ralts. Yeah, I guess hiring a level designer was too expensive.
BDSP has a battle tower not a battle frontier, and the DP tower didn’t really need improvement, what we wanted was a full battle frontier.
Sets in the rematches are cool, but the shitty casual friendship mechanics ruin them. Also the Dawn/Lucas fight is very poorly implemented, with Dawn/Lucas having no expression whatsoever. I would much rather have a game that does a few things and does them right than a game that tries to do a shitton of different things only for it all to be a nonfunctional clusterfuck.
Most of the Platinum stuff is gone, not sure what you’re talking about.

The Pomeg glitch is also present in DP and it wasn't discovered and popularized until 2006-07 long after gen 3 stopped being the most recent gen. You'd know this if you weren't a zoomer who gets his info from YouTube videos and bulbapedia. As early as a few months after DP's release in 2006, people were already tweaking into Darkrai's location.

Pomeg glitch isn’t as powerful in gen 4 as it is in gen 3, gen 3 pomeg glitch is currently the most broken individual glitch in pokemon history because it also impacts gen 4 (allows to transfer glitch moves, one of which can be used as an infinite masterball generator). DP tweaking trick is probably 2nd because it impacts Platinum and HGSS too now through crafted mystery gifts, but gen 3 pomeg glitch still takes the cake.

How much time it took to discover these glitches is absolutely irrelevant. Neither of them will be encountered in normal gameplay, they work similarly in that you need to actively trigger them in order for them to occur. Also early void routes were really bad and made with trial and error, a lot of them were luck based. It took around 10 years for stable routes to be made, and for the Arceus subglitch to be discovered.
The pomeg glitch is the exact same. The glitch itself was discovered fairly early on, but the useful subglitches are recent.

Of course the time matters because the glitch was fucking everywhere in communities at the time. It was the only way to get the event legendaries besides using PokeSAV or Action Replay.

The Pomeg is actually a complex process, and even MissingNo was harder to pull off than tweaking. Yet MissingNo of course was talked about even before gen 2 released so if it happened during normal gameplay to some people, of course tweaking did too.

You’ve clearly never done it. It’s easy as shit. Way easier than the tweaking trick. ACE with the tweaking trick requires a specific hall of fame with a crafted team, in gen 3 you just have to look at some glitch mon names and animations to break things because unlike in gen 4 there is no error check for those and they will interpret ram addresses as animations.
The tweaking trick was just more obvious in what it allowed than the pomeg glitch. Again, setups at the time were the result of trial and error from people who didn’t know what they were doing. Both glitches took a similar amount of time to be fully understood.

Go to any glitching forum and community and look at the setups they’re using.
Explorer kit setups are completely outdated and, for the third time, were the result of trial and error rather than people actually understanding what was going on. People losing their save files or bricking themselves while trying to reproduce a setup was common.

The first 3 points were only applicable to the pre day 1 patch version of the game, which was likely intended to deter piracy. The rest of the criticisms are 100% correct, and I would add that grinding in the underground to get all the legendaries in Ramanas park was the most tedious way of doing a legendary collect-a-thon and whoever thought it up should be ashamed of themselves.
